Curly Cutting
When booking, there is a range of curly cut options. Curly cut & style is perfect for those who are new to wearing their hair curly or are looking for a re-style. Curl by curl dry cut is perfect for maintenance or men’s hair and is a shorter appointment. There is also a curly children’s option for under 11s.
Balayage / Natural enhancement
Balayage / natural enhancement is the perfect option for those who just want something a little different without it being high maintenance. Either book for the full works package or the half way there package depending on how much colour you feel you require. (I can always adapt your appointment during your consultation/ skin test.)
Grey Blending/ Enhancing
Grey blending is all about embracing your natural hair colour but enhancing it to work for you. To book for grey blending please book the full works package which includes treatments to get the best colour results. Grey blending often takes a few sessions to get the result we want (unless you have very lucky hair). There is a range of techniques I also use if you don’t feel like you want to embrace the grey yet but you need something more low maintenance – please book in for a consultation.
Herbal Prescriptive Treatments & Massage
This treatment is a 45 min add on service, where you have a treatment specifically tailored to your hair, a 20 min head massage and a personal herbal steam with a short lymphatic drainage massage of the face and neck. All packages include the “Pamper me Treatment” – this can also be booked as an add on service.
Private Experience
The studio is only used by me, so there will never be more than two guests in at a time. However if you prefer a completely private booking there are package options on my booking page for that. Please feel free to leave a note on your booking if you would rather me be out of the studio while your colour is developing, if you would prefer a silent appointment; or if you will be working from the studio.
Cutting & Styling
As well as doing curls I also love straight hair and styling. There are two options for traditional cuts, one for short/fine hair and another for long/thick hair. This is purely because the latter takes longer. My cuts are always blow-dried and styled afterwards to ensure that the cut is sitting how we want and allowing me to personalise. I also do wash & styles as well as “Just style” which is styling for already dry hair.

Herbal Steams & Massage
At Wild Roots I take a holistic approach to hair care. Its Not Just hair. Your hair grows from within and how you are feeling on the inside has a massive impact.
Herbal steams are one of the best ways to get nutrients deep into the hairs core as well as into your scalp and endocrine system. Paired alongside relaxing massage which helps to promote calm, slow the nervous system and increase blood flow to the scalp.
These not so conventional hairdressing techniques are incredibly effective, particularly with frequent use.
Gentle, Natural Products
Choosing the products I use at Wild Roots was one of the biggest decisions I made while opening. There are so many brands that advertise having natural ingredients and being sustainable while actually not doing anything helpful for our environment. Then I came across Davines. They are a beautiful family brand from Italy.
The range I stock contains naturally-derived and biodegradable ingredients and is free of sulphates and parabens. As well as this I also offer a range of shampoo bars and I can re-fill your shampoos with 10% off after initial purchase.
After years of working with harsh hair products and suffering with dermatitis on my hands and respiration problems from artificial fragrances I feel a million times better for using Davines.
Tarot Readings & Holistic Approach
Since being in a private studio I have found that I am able to take a far more holistic approach to my work. I invite all my clients to feel welcome to share any burdens they may be facing if it would help them feel better. I’m also all for silent appointments. I try and work intuitively and with the client to see what they feel like they want from the appointment.
I also offer tarot readings, I am not a mystic or psychic, but I enjoy doing them for people who are interested. You can add a reading on to your booking for free by using my booking site or leave a message on your booking or simply message me.
Low-maintenance
I am a massive advocate for low-maintenance hair. I my self am not the kind of person who gets their hair done every 6 weeks. I would love to be… but its just not me. I never want to make someone feel like they have to keep spending money every month to feel amazing. My aim is to make your colour and cut last as well as it can for as long as possible. Obviously this is massively dependant on hair types, products and routine, but a curl by curl cut can last between 3-6 months as well as Balayage and grey blending being maintained between 1-3 times a year- depending on required results.
